Tutoring and Support Resources

Tutoring is aimed at helping Cedar Crest students achieve academic success by becoming effective, independent learners. Tutoring is available for many lower level courses, as well as some upper-level courses and writing. Most tutoring takes place in the Student Success Center in Cressman Library.

Please review the tutoring policies (below) prior to using peer tutoring services.

By-Appointment In-Person Subject Specific Tutoring - Fall 2020

During the Fall 2020 semester, we will have in-person subject specific tutoring BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. You must make an appointment at least one hour ahead of time. Walk-ins are not permitted. Students will make appointments, using the WC Online portal (located in the center column of this page), to meet with tutors one-on-one. Please note subject-specific tutors are listed by NAME in WC Online, so you will need to choose the tutor's name from the drop-down menu in order to schedule appointments. There will only be three sets of tutors/tutees in the center at any one time.

We are limiting the amount of people we allow in the tutoring area to comply with safety guidance related to minimizing the potential spread of COVID. Students must wear masks/approved face coverings and follow the CCC safety guidance while in the Student Success Center and when working with the tutors. Please remember to bring any information you may need (textbook, assignment guidelines etc.) to your session. Please note: Peer tutoring will be moved online should instructional modalities be changed to online only at any point in the semester.

  • PLEASE PLAN AHEAD! Make your appointments in advance (at least one hour) to guarantee your "spot" and to allow the tutors to review their schedules prior to starting their shifts.
  • BE KIND TO YOUR FELLOW STUDENTS! Please make sure to sign into WC Online to cancel your appointment if you cannot attend. Then another student can use that "spot" and take advantage of tutoring services.

Peer Tutoring will begin Tuesday, September 8th.

NOTE: Each tutor is assigned a table - please make sure you look for that assigned table when arriving for your appointment. The whiteboards in the back right section of the Student Success Center (Cressman) will have signs indicating which tutoring table each is and where students should sit. The lists below provide peer tutoring information by tutor name and also by subject covered:
