Description

A study of the structure, properties and functions of proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, and nucleic acids. Enzyme kinetics is introduced and selected enzyme mechanisms are discussed. Lecture three hours, laboratory three hours. The 3-credit option does not include laboratory. Prerequisite: completion of CHE 205 and CHE 206 (or their equivalents) with a grade of C- or better or permission of instructor.
