FSA ID stands for Federal Student Aid ID. You can use an FSA ID to access personal information or to electronically sign on various Department of Education (ED) websites. You can electronically sign your FAFSA, electronically sign for you Direct Loan and log in to your NSLDS account to check on your Direct Loan amounts.
Student and Parent must have their own FSA ID - you are not allowed to share an FSA ID.
