Masters & Doctoral Degrees

Students receiving advanced degrees from Cedar Crest College must be approved by the program director of the program that have declared. It is recommended that you keep in contact with your assigned advisor throughout your program to ensure that you are ready to graduate at your preferred time. Students receiving these degrees are not eligible to graduate with an honors designation.

Graduation Applications

After consulting with your assigned advisor(s), if it is determined that you will complete your requirements in an upcoming term, you may apply for graduation when the registrar's office begins accepting applications for that term. Typically, a graduation term will become available when the last graduation cycle ends. All students must apply to graduate before the posted deadlines in order to be reviewed and approved for degree conferral.

Before submitting your official graduation application, please check with your advisor on established requirements are set to be met before your chosen graduation date. A degree will not be awarded if there are any outstanding requests. In addition to this, it is recommended that you apply for graduation after you have registered for your final semester of coursework. 

Graduation Application Deadlines:

• Fall Graduation (January) - Applications due December 1st
• Spring Graduation (May) - Applications due April 1st
• Summer Graduation (August) - Applications due July 1st

All graduates participating in the commencement ceremony must have their applications submitted by April 1st for inclusion in the commencement program and scrolling marquee.
