Permission to Transfer Credit
Cedar Crest College allows students to enroll in coursework at other institutions for transfer credit while still enrolled as a student at Cedar Crest College. Please see our policies on transfer and residency requirements to ensure that you are eligible to take coursework at another institution.
Up to 90 semester hours of credit may be transferred. A maximum of 68 of these may be from two-year institutions. Courses approved to be transferred, satisfying the liberal arts curriculum, taken at a regionally-accredited college or university with a grade of C- or better will be given equivalent Cedar Crest credit.
All transfer credits that a student intends to apply toward a major must be approved by the department chairperson.
We recommend the following procedures
- Meet with your academic advisor to discuss the impact of transfer credit on your major and LAC progress. Your advisor will need to provide their signature on the form.
- Return the signed form to the Registrar's Office.
- Upon completion of the requested course, order an official transcript (from the issuing institution) and have it sent directly to the registrar's office via email at registrar@cedarcrest.edu or via mail at:
