The Student Off-Campus Travel Form must be submitted for all College-sponsored off-campus activities that involve students. The information collected through this form will help the College maintain compliance with federal regulations and respond in case of emergency.
Under the Clery Act, colleges are required to report certain crime statistics, which can include crimes that occur at certain off-campus spaces used during College-sponsored activities. These locations are referred to as “noncampus” locations.
The College employee responsible for the off-campus activity is responsible for submitting this form prior to any travel. Once the form is submitted, Campus Police will review the trip information to determine whether the trip meets the criteria for Clery reporting. If so, the submitter will be provided with additional information about their responsibilities under the Clery Act, and may be asked to provide additional information about the trip to ensure compliance.
