Congratulations!

Welcome students entering Cedar Crest College! It's an exciting time to be at the Crest. Everyone here at the College has a vested interest in you making a successful academic, educational, and social transition to our wonderful, close knit community. This site provides helpful links about upcoming mandatory activities as well as information about various services that are available to you.

Over the course of the next several weeks there are a number of things that will need to be done to ensure that you have a smooth transition. We would like to offer two pieces of advice: Adhere to all deadlines and ask questions if you are unsure. We promise that this will make your life so much easier. Note that there are some activities that are only for incoming first-year students, others just for incoming transfer students, and information that is for all new students.

Cedar Crest offers great meal plan options for commuter students. Enjoy “all you care to eat” at the dining hall or ala carte at our Falcon’s Nest. Meal plan benefits include enjoying additional “Falcon Dollars,” not to mention not having to worry about pulling out cash or a credit card when you are on campus and want a bite. The meal plan makes it easier to get together with friends on campus or have dinner with a study group. For more information about the meal plans that are available, click here.

Our Bookstore has everything you need to be prepared for class. Whether you wish to purchase your text books, or take advantage of our book rental and digital book options, there is something for everyone. In addition to books, it is a great place to find Cedar Crest merchandise and other apparel, school and technology supplies, snacks, and more. For more information, click here. "Like" the Bookstore on Facebook and follow on Twitter while you’re there and be the first to know about sales and specials!

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act

At Cedar Crest, we believe the success of each student is due to a partnership between the student, College and family. That is why it is important for you to know about FERPA. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal privacy law that gives parents certain protections with regard to their children’s education records, such as report cards, transcripts, disciplinary records, contact and family information, and class schedules. Both students and parents should become familiar with FERPA.

In accordance to the Department of Education's "Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act" (FERPA), written permission from the student is required in order for Cedar Crest College to be able to provide information regarding student's financial aid, student accounts and academic information. The following form allows the student to specify those permissions.

You must be logged in to submit this form. Please enter your user name and password above.
