Absences – Students who miss a class for any reason are encouraged to complete an absence notification. That form can be found here: https://cm.maxient.com/reportingform.php?CedarCrestCollege&layout_id=3 . It is important to review your individual course syllabi for details regarding absences specific to your course.
Academic Standing – At the end of the fall and spring semesters, student progress is reviewed. Should certain benchmarks not be met, students may be placed on conditional standing, probation, or face dismissal. For more details, refer to the current college catalog found here: College Catalogs - Undergrad & Grad | Cedar Crest College
Add/Drop – Students may add or drop courses at the very beginning of each semester. Deadlines are posted by the Registrar’s Office in the academic calendar and can be found here: Course Registration - Main View | Course Registration | Course Registration | My CedarCrest .
Course Withdrawal Form – To leave a course after the add/drop period, students should complete a withdrawal form. For some programs this has an impact on progression. The form can be found here: Course Withdrawal - Main View | Withdrawals | Withdrawals | My CedarCrest
Late Withdrawal Appeal – Students who miss the withdrawal deadline may submit an appeal for a late withdrawal. These are considered on a case-by-case basis. The form can be found here: Late Withdrawal Appeal Form.
Leave of Absence (sometimes referred to as a medical leave) – Students needing to pause their education for any reason can submit a leave of absence.
Withdrawal – Students seeking to leave the college before completing their program of study should submit a withdrawal. The form for both can be found here: Withdrawal From the College | Leave Of Absence - Main View | Withdrawals | Withdrawals | My CedarCrest
